Camping Near New York City

Living in or near NYC doesn't mean you're stuck with concrete forever. Some of the best campgrounds in the Northeast are just a short drive away—and we deliver campers directly to them.

No RV ownership. No towing. Just pick a spot, show up, and start relaxing.

Best Campgrounds Within Reach of NYC

Harriman State Park

Just 45 miles north of Manhattan. 200 miles of trails, several lakes, and real wilderness.

This is the quickest escape if you just need to get out. Leave Friday after work, be in the woods by dinner.

Drive from NYC: About 1 hour

Delaware Water Gap (PA/NJ Border)

One of our go-to recommendations. Stunning scenery, great hiking, and the fall foliage is unreal.

We deliver to the KOA and a few other campgrounds in the area. Good facilities, plenty to do, easy access to trails and waterfalls.

Drive from NYC: About 1.5 hours

Fahnestock State Park (Hudson Valley)

Hudson Valley gem. Canopus Lake is the centerpiece—swimming, fishing, kayaking. The trails are solid, and fall colors are worth the trip alone.

Quieter than some of the bigger spots. We like that.

Drive from NYC: About 1.5 hours

Catskills Region

If you want to go a little farther, the Catskills are worth it. Mountain camping at its best.

North-South Lake Campground has some of the best views in New York State. More of a commitment, but great for an extended trip.

Drive from NYC: About 2-2.5 hours

Otter Lake Camp-Resort (Poconos, PA)

One of our most popular delivery spots. The lake is beautiful, the beach area is great for kids, and there's always something going on.

First-time campers love it here. Good facilities, friendly staff, easy to settle in.

Why This Works So Well for City People

No storage problems. In NYC, storing an RV is expensive and complicated. With rental, you get the experience without the headache.

No towing stress. Driving through the Lincoln Tunnel with a trailer? No thanks. We handle delivery—you just drive your regular car.

Flexible. Rent when you want. No maintenance, no commitment beyond your trip.

Everything's included. Show up with clothes and food. That's it.

How It Works

  • Browse our campers online
  • Pick your campground and dates
  • We confirm availability and send a quote
  • You pay a deposit to lock it in
  • Show up—we've already set everything up
  • Most NYC-area campgrounds are within our delivery range. $200 flat within 25 miles of High Bridge, NJ, plus $5/mile beyond that.

What a Weekend Actually Looks Like

    Friday:

Leave work, drive to the campground. Camper's already there—set up, plugged in, ready. We give you a quick walkthrough, and then you're on your own. Cook dinner. Sit outside. Breathe.

    Saturday:

Sleep in. Make coffee in the kitchen. Scramble some eggs. Then do whatever you want—hike, swim, read, nap. Grill dinner under the awning. Watch the stars come out.

    Sunday:

No tent to break down. No gear to pack. Just lock up, drive home, and feel like you actually got away.

We come back and pick up the camper. Done.

    Which Camper?

Couples: Hope (21', sleeps 2-4) — Cozy, simple, perfect for two.

Families: Faith (29', sleeps 4-6) or Lola (34', sleeps 6-8) — Bunks for kids, full kitchen, room to spread out.

Go all out: Joy (38'8", sleeps 6-9) — Outdoor kitchen, fireplace, theater seating. Glamping at its finest.
